I think Bengali women dress up so beautifully, for theirs is the arrogance of simplicity. A broad mind and simple clothing is very important. Look at a lot of Bengali women — they love food, they have the intellectual confidence to have single malt whiskey, smoking Charminar cigarettes, yet they wear a simple cotton saree, and they will be covered from head to toe but still manage to look incredibly sexy in ungainly shoes. And it is exactly this that I see missing in different parts of the world, including France. Bengalis have a very matronly way of wearing the saree, but they rock it with their intellectual body language.
