Did you know India has a second Taj Mahal? I’m blown away by how darkly beautiful this one is.
The Love Quiz that’s taking the world by storm. I tried it- it works. It’s based on the premise that while everyone expresses love in their own unique way, all expressions of affection fall under roughly five categories, or ‘languages’. For instance, you might be a person that values words and verbal assurances (me), in a relationship with someone whose idea of loving is doing things for their partner, not wooing them with poetry (my husband). If you’re not self aware, it could lead to a lot of heartburn. The important thing to remember is that if someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to, it doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they’ve got. Go on- you know you want to try the quiz!
I’ve always believed in the inherent superiority of British comedy over its canned-laughter-filled, idiotproof American counterpart. Which is why I’m watching My Mad Fat Diary, a show that’s making waves for its bawdy, irreverent and intelligent commentary on an issue we all struggle with- body image. And yes- you need to watch it irrespective of how much you weigh.
If women built our cities, what would they look like? I dedicate this to the many uterus-bearing architects on my feed. You go, ladies!
Whether you’re an animal lover or not, this award winning series on how animals communicate with each other will be the nicest and funniest thing you’ve seen all week. It also makes for a great watch with kids. Parts 1 and 2 are here, and here.
Image- Begum Para, India’s first pin up girl. Shot by James Burke for LIFE magazine, her oomph blazed like a beacon in the 40’s and 50’s. Look her up and tell me how much you love her eyebrows, among other things. *lewd wink*
Have a good Monday, devis! Don’t let it defeat you.
